A month or two ago I install The Events Calendar on a client website with great results. Recently however, rather that going to a designated “Home” static page, the root URL goes directly to the blog page. I subsequently:

-cleared .htaccess and reset permalinks (nada)
-made a home.php file (this still delivered the blog content, only in the home.php’s format)
-then thought “doy I haven’t tried disabling plugins”

Sooner or later I found that it was TEC that was causing the issue. I also tested it with all other plugins disabled, to rule out conflicts – same result. I can’t imagine any instance outside of the plugin that could have spurred this, since last time I updated everything had been working fine.

I think this is great plugin, so I’d hate to have to replace it! Any help?

Update: Tried a fresh install on The Events Calendar and the problem persists.

Any of the developers out there to help? I’m sure this is a unique problem, but I’m have a devil of a time figuring out what could be causing such a weird and distinct bug.

Hi dansz, we are here! But we do only pass through this forum once every 10-14 working days as we need to prioritize paying customers over on our PRO forum.

Can you test and see if this relates to the include events in main blog loop setting? Thanks!

It’s been a while so I’ll mark this thread as resolved – if you disagree/need further help please go right ahead and ideally create a new thread. Thanks!
