    Howdy,

I like your plugin and would like to make three suggestions.

Google Plus sharing is hands down the best for SEO. There is no option to plus one content. It should be the top button. Who cares about Google Bookmarks? Sharethis sees the importance of Google Plus buttons, but I don’t want to split analytics between two services.

Mobile: When you’re watching an embedded YouTube video and you click “share” in mobile view, the layer goes behind the video. You can’t see the x that you click on to close the sharing options. Also, the share and follow buttons, before you click on them, cover up part of the content. To close that, you click the downward pointing arrow. It should be an x instead of an arrow. I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of it. Arrows usually denote “click here for more”.

Another thing is that, when you click on a share button, the analytics tell you that someone shared your content even if they only clicked. Not sure whether you have the ability yet to change that, but that’s another observation.

That’s my two cents. Thanks for a great plugin.

  • Thanks @monkeywisdom for the feedback. The first two are things we can definitely address and I’ll see what/when we can make those enhancements/updates. On the third one, we’re limited by the services we’re sharing to and most do not give a “confirmation” if a share actually went through or not. We would happily make it so the analytics only count completed shares, but it’s not possible currently.

Glad you like the plugin – if possible, would love for you to rate us to help our ranking. Thanks.

Great. I actually just found out that your plugin shows different buttons to different people depending on their sharing preferences. That’s also great. One suggestion I forgot is to add “share this page” or something to the share buttons. If I didn’t know better, I would wonder whether I’m sharing the page or the whole site.

Google+ share support appears to be available but it’s not showing up in the searchable service listing, i.e. when one clicks [+] in Smart Layers or “More” after hovering over [+] with the standard share buttons.
