    if I disable HAMMY the animated gif at the bottom works, otherwise does not

    Me as well. Hammy has cached PNG versions of one frame of the GIF.

    I suppose the answer would be to use an exception class on the image and make Hammy skip it?

    That’s correct, use the exception class on animated gifs (I don’t believe WPThumb works for resizing animated gifs).

    Any idea on how to do that. i am not sure what exception to use for animated Gifs.

    We would be willing to pay for optimization from the author as the site is heavily image and graphics based and speed is king.

    There’s a place in the Hammy settings for this. I added “anim” to that setting then in animated gifs add class=”anim” to the IMG tag.
