Blank sitemap Using SEO by Yoast
-
Hi,
I’m pretty sure someone else has had this issue in the past but I can;t seem to find a correct answer in all these threads :/
I am doing the following steps but get a blank “sitemap page” (actual website works fine)
SEO > XML Maps > Clicking on “You can find your XML Sitemap here: XML Sitemap”
Getting a blank page. Previously I turned the function on then off and it worked. Now it just shows up as a blank page. Prior to this I had an issue because Webmasters was not able to read my site map so I changed the .htacces file to the following:
# WordPress SEO – XML Sitemap Rewrite Fix
2
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
3
RewriteEngine On
4
RewriteBase /
5
RewriteRule ^sitemap_index\.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=1 [L]
6
RewriteRule ^([^/]+?)-sitemap([0-9]+)?\.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=$1&sitemap_n=$2 [L]
7
</IfModule>
8
# END WordPress SEO – XML Sitemap Rewrite FixMy site then had errors because I guess I left the Numbers in….
NOW going to SEO > Edit Files > Under .htaccess my file looks like this:(Way longer then what I previously pasted) Could this be the problem? Nervous to change stuff in .htaccess file and bring site down again ??
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule># END WordPress
# WordPress SEO – XML Sitemap Rewrite Fix
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^sitemap_index\.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=1 [L]
RewriteRule ^([^/]+?)-sitemap([0-9]+)?\.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=$1&sitemap_n=$2 [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress SEO – XML Sitemap Rewrite Fix
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule># END WordPress
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule># END WordPress
Any and all help appreciated ?? Thanks!
