Sidebar to the left and Topbar cart to the right ?

To make the sidebar float to the left add this to your theme options custom css :

#content .main {float:right;}

Moving the topmenu to the right it’s an easy option you will need to edit the header.php file and move where the menu shows up then add css to make it float right.

It was vague because I don’t recommend you do this unless you know what you are doing. It requires changing theme files which I really don’t recommend you do this without a child theme.

The reason is every update it will go away and then you will need to change it again. Unless you know what you are doing and create a child theme and know how to edit html and php.

So to be more specific, in version 1.5.5 of theme (you can download here: https://www.ads-software.com/themes/download/virtue.1.5.5.zip)

You need to copy lines 7-35
Paste theme between lines 41 and 42
Delete the lines 38-41 (removes the search)
Now go back and delete the lines 7-35

Then add this to your custom css

.topbarmenu {float:right;}

I will not touch it.
But I think that you should change place to the search bar and cart menu on your next updates theme.
Every shop site have their cart menu on the right side and not on the left.
(Amazon, apple, adidas…)
It s became a reall logic for customers.

Hi. I have another question regarding your theme. How can i show custom sidebars on different pages? is there an option to have different sidebars on different pages? I would like to display submenus that belong to the main pages in sidebars. Can that be achieved with your theme? Thanks for the reply in advance! Best Regards Julian

in the future you should make your own topic.

You can make as many sidebars as you want in the theme options and you can select which one to use by making sure you are using the sidebar page template.

I just want to support Jidy – the shopping cart should be on the right side of the top bar. Especially when there is a logo on the left side it’s too much with the cart and maybe some social media icons …

I would also be happy to see the cart (and also the social media icons) on the right side of the top bar ??
