• I am getting daily user registrations (subscribers) that are suspicious. My blog isn’t that popular, if you know what I mean. Anyway, I know how to disable new user registration, but I want to be sure that it doesn’t affect current subscribers or admins. We have two admins and several valid subscribers, so would disabling new user registration have a negative impact on these people?

I hate to turn off this feature, but it’s currently more annoying than helpful. :/

  • You can disable User Registration from Settings->General->Anyone can register. Uncheck this to disable register. This will disable new registration but existing users can login and access their profiles.
Also I would suggest to use Captcha in registration form to prevent spam form submit, If you are not willing to disable registration.

When I install a captcha plug-in (Captcha, Captcha Bank), I get this warning:

Warning: Missing argument 3 for wpseo_upgrader_process_complete() in /hermes/waloraweb091/b1555/moo.tlcinspirations/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/wpseo-non-ajax-functions.php on line 259

I see that it’s conflicting with WordPress SEO (plugin), but I don’t know WHAT setting is causing the conflict, or how to fix it.

Thank you! I guess I’ll wait it out for the next update before activating Captcha. Not much for “patching”. Thanks again.
