Im not sure how this has happened. Basicly i upgraded to 3.7, got a system error for 10 minutes and did several fixes like doing a php.ini to increase the memory limit. Got it working again but my nextgen gallery is gone and also qTranslate plugin even though they sit perfectly fine in my plugin folder.

Installing through wp-admin goes well through the unpacking and then when install it says “No valid plugin installation was found” and nothing happens. Uploading plugins manually through FTP dont show up either in wp-admin.

    So what can be wrong?

Its not relevant at all, the plugin is failing on install and its not only Nextgen, its every plugin and i cant install manually either.

Tried doing a rollback to 3.6 and same thing, so its not something to do with the 3.7 itself. So weird. But it all started with the update though.

Found the problem. It was a simple chmod problem of the folders. It was set at 751 instead of 755 resulting in plugins not showing up. But it doesnt help doing it on the folder, need to go through every subfolder and do it there also.

Even when activating a plugin i need to do this. So weird, must be some server configuration thats changed.
