Hi. I’m a old user but not professional. I have a site lasalceta.it that starts with a static page. Primary language Italian. I installed Polylang for English, but I do not understand how to get him to open the home en. Opens a page created ad hoc in a directory /en. And if I create a new page in it this should not be in the directory /en but the root directory.
    Someone help me?
    Tanks

How did you create this directory you are referring to?

If you are using a static page, just translate it (click on the + sign in the English column) in the pages list table. Once your page is translated, it will be accessible at lasalceta.it/your-translate-home-page-title (if you use pretty permalinks). That will be the link of the English link in the language switcher when you are browsing the Italian language lasalceta.it.

Now if you prefer to have lasalceta.it/en, you have to check the relevant option in Polylang settings (redirect home page to language page). That’s all you have to do to setup your translated home page.

Thanks Chourby. I did not create the directoty /en. If you click on the flag, Polylang go to this page, with recent articles. I’m trying to click on the flag to open my home-translated.
