  • I’m afraid there’s not much help I can give you, with Activity Logs being disabled…

The only thing I can think of is if Google Analytics was installed (and tracking admin pages, which is rare) you might be able to see which IP triggered the deletion (you would have to analyze the query parameters, but all info is stored by Google).

Also worth asking: is there a chance the page is in the trash, still? Default trash holds for a couple of days, I think, and if they deleted a page and emptied the trash with it, that’s more than one screw up from the client, no?

Anyway, good luck! Sorry I can’t be of more help…

Have you considered that it may have been the web host?

Also, if you believe this to be true (someone deleted and no one taking responsibility for it), then you need to remove certain roles for those involved (make them all contributors, and have just one admin/editor role).

And, you may be able to discover the page by searching for it on Google and looking for a cached version.

Going forward try installing one of these (not used by me) plugins

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/audit-trail/
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

Keep in mind that if it was an admin user then they could disable the plugin, do things, re-enable said plugins.

You really have to be careful who you grant access to on your installation.
