Blogger Import Times Out When “template-edit in progress”

    I’m having trouble importing my blogspot blog. It keeps on timing out when it’s importing.. everything imports fine until… ” template-edit in progress, please wait…”

    Then it just times out, and when I check, none of the posts were imported yet… help!

    The URL I’m trying to migrate from is friedbeef.blogspot.com.

    Would changing my template before I import help?

    I’ve even tried simplifying my template to a default template, but that doesn’t seem to be working either!

    My host managed to fix this issue…

    Just sharing the solution….

    “The import uses php function fopen, which is beneficial for importing but dangerous for shared server. It is suggested to be off in overall php configuration. I enabled that for for the time being for you to import from blogger. I need to turn it off again or else script kiddies will start importing codes using fopen and that would be a total disaster”
