Hi, look into the wp_options table, NextGen/Cellent’s rows have option_name starting with ngg_. In my table there is only 3 relevant rows, ngg_options (this contains the actual settings in php-serialized form), ngg_db_version (=1.8.1) and ngg_next_update (this is just a timestamp). Good luck!

There are also specific records in the database for NGG pictures, galleries and albums. You should find a backup of these to have all data about your images etc. in place. Hope you find a backup of the whole database to do that.

And as you may know, delete NextGEN Gallery plugin MANUALLY from /plugins folder if you need to do this again – deleting the plugin from WP’s plugin admin deletes the files and database entries ??

This warning should be the first sentence on the plugin page with huge red letters, I also ran into it once…
