How to completely start over after already installing a theme and adding content

  • Hello WP Gurus,

    I have already created a domain, hosted it, installed a theme and added content to my WP site. However I would like to tear it all down and start over. How do I do that without having to “reinstall” all of the themes that I’ve painstakingly sorted through and uploaded to my WP theme profile? I have saved all of my content and just need guidance on how to clear everything and begin anew!

    I will need step-by-step guidance, so please if you respond describe the process in steps so that i can successfully complete this task. Thank you so very much and I look forward to hearing from one of you Gurus.

  • It’s difficult to be precise without knowing your circumstances.

    However:

    • Login to your hosting account
    • Navigate to the area where you admin databases
    • Destroy your existing database in use by WordPress
    • Create a new database
    • Go to your domain
    • You should see the new install screen
    • Fill out the details and away you go
