    Hello,

I appear to have something funy going on on my site. I can’t see it on my own pc but visitors tell me they have weird ads showing up when they visit. As I can’t see it myself – I have tried using another computer but although they showed up briefly they disappeared again, not sure now if it was when I f5’d it or something else – I am wondering if some helpful person here could have a look and give me any idea what I could do. I thought it might be the problem I found on the forum earlier which was something to do with a browser addon, but I added the suggested code and someone told me the ads were still showing. I am a real amateur at wordpress so any help would really be appreciated.

I can see ads under Fancy a Good read on the left and another under Why not Try – are these the ads you mean or did you put them there?

If these are ok and not the ones you are talking about then the problem is probably in your users’ browsers and it’s an add on they have installed without knowing it. If this is the problem there’s nothing you can do about it – your visitors need to remove the add on from their browsers themselves.

hi thanks so much for the speedy response ?? No, the ads under Fancy a Good Read and Why Not Try are intentional Google and Amazon ads. It’s the others that you can’t see either that are the problem.

Thanks for confirming it, as it now appears to be what I originally thought … a problem with others’ browsers. (phew)

thanks again for putting my mind at rest

No problem. From memory I think the ad on is called AdHelper in Chrome.
