404 Error VDeck, Trying to Install

  • I am stuck. Maybe someone can help me?

    I uploaded WordPress to the remote folder, created the MySQL database, modified the config file and went to run the https://www.AfricaProject.net/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php file and I keep getting a 404 error. I made sure that my db, uname and pwd were set correctly in the config file, and I found nothing wrong. (I have kept “localhost”). Does anyone know what could be causing the 404 error? Because VDeck is the hosting platform, it appears to be reading the intall and config files remotively, but I keep getting this error.

    This is the 2nd wordpress site I’ve done. The first one went fine, running it on the GoDaddy servers. Help!

  • doesn’t look like /wordpress/ is in even in the web root where AfricaProject.net files resides. doublecheck, then triplecheck to see if it even exists.
