    Hello, Tobias!

First of all, I really like this plugin. I’m using a column in my table for dates. I’ve recently downloaded your DataTables Sorting plugins Extension 1.0, but I’m not for sure what to do with it now. I’m assuming I have to upload all three files to the appropriate FTP plugin directory. I wanted to make sure I consulted with you first.

Also, I’m using the date format (MM/DD/YYYY). Do I need to change that in order for this sorting extension to work properly? If so, that’s not a big deal because I’ve just started creating my table.

Keep up the great work, Tobias!

    Hi,

    thanks for your question.

Just install that Extension like any other WordPress plugin, i.e. extract the folder in the ZIP file and upload the entire folder to your server via FTP, into the “wp-content/plugins/” folder (or use the ZIP upload method on the “Plugins” -> “Add new” screen in your WordPress Dashboard, which should be faster).

The date format MM/DD/YYYY is actually the default format, and that should work out of the box, i.e. you don’t even need the Sorting Extension for this.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Ah, no kidding. It sure does! I just wasn’t looking at the column correctly when I sorted it. Thanks so much! Keep up the great work!
