This webpage has a redirect loop

  • I am using WP 3.6.1. and BP 1.6.5. If a member of the site tries to enter a BP group he/she is not the member of, there appears this notification: ‘This webpage has a redirect loop’. If a non-registered user tries to enter the group it says he/she is not a member and should request membership. This is how it should be. Does anyone, please, know how to solve this ‘THIS WEBPAGE HAS A REDIRECT LOOP.’? I am not using a redirection plugin.

    I’m assuming you’re using Buddypress, right? Try the following link. There were several posts on this issue in the BuddyPress forum and one post listed this as the solution:

    Thank you for your reply. Yes, I am using BuddyPress. The problem does not appear when I create a group, but when a registered site member tries to enter a group in which he does not have a membership. And the problem appears only in the last four created groups. Can it be something in the contents?

    Just to let you know the problem happens if I put Extras in the first place, in front of Home. If I put Home first, there is no redirect loop notification any more. Thanks:)!
