NextGen gallery plugin pagination not working

    My site uses WordPress 3.7.1, Twenty Thirteen theme, and I have NextGEN Gallery Version 2.0.33. For some reason when a thumbnail image is clicked to display a full-sized image, it opens without “left” and “right” buttons and no button close the image. So the only way to get out of the full image view is to click a back button on my browser. Any idea why this is? When I tried yesterday, it sometimes worked as described above, and sometimes worked without a problem. If anyone has a similar problem or knows how to resolve this, please let me know. Thank you.
