• Hi,

    Nextgen 2.0 on Flexform Swiftideas theme with WP 3.7.1 hosted on BlueHost.

    I am unable to see the NextGen interface on page editor, only a white empty window appears. I tried deactivating every single plugins and clearing cache, login out and so on but problem in unchanged.

    Could you please shed some light on this.

  • yanndumas, at first you should upgrade Nextgen to the last version, because many things has changed from 2.0, and several issue has been fixed.

    Sorry, I got confused the NextGen version I have is Version 2.0.33, I beleive the latest one.

    You said that you have deactivated every single plugin, but you should try to deactivate them all at once together with the default theme activation.
    If this works, re-activate theme and plugins one by one until you find which one cause the problem.
    Exclude theme or plugins conflict it’s a very important test.

    I tried to run the test as you suggested. When I had deactivated all plugins and restored the original theme NextGen is working.

    I then reactivated theme and all plugins, checking after each one if NextGen was having issues again, but it just worked no problem with all plugins and theme reactivated.

    Today the problem was there again so I ran the test again but login out between each plugin reactivation, I restarted my comp at the end and the problem did not appear again. Right now it’s working but it seems I can’t manage to identify the source of conflict.

    Something tells me that’s the theme, but I can’t say for sure. Is your site on full production? If not, it could be useful run all plugins with the WP default theme for some time, with empty cache and testing Nextgen’s function.
    It can also be useful list here all plugins in use, to see if there’s one with a known conflict.
    Sorry, but this could be the kind of issue that Nextgen team needs to see closely, maybe entering your site.
