Hi guys, I had a WP 2.0.3 in a webhost. Then I downloaded the 2.0.4 and installed at localhost to make some plugins tests and etc.

Then I thought in upgrade the 2.0.3 to 2.0.4, so I desactived the plugins and send all files to the webhost, overwriting the 2.0.3 files. After, ran the upgrade.php, it shows “everything ok”…

Then I continued testing at localhost and when I saw the “backup” page I was scared, because I didn’t remeber to see it on the WP installation at webhost. So I went to the WP admin panel and compared it. The localhost installation got it and the webhosted version doesn’t. Now I just don’t know if the 2.0.3 -> 2.0.4 updated failed in somewhere… or why one got and other not?

There is a script or anything that I can do to see if my instalation is really 2.0.4 updated as anounced or … I can only try “re”-upgrade to 2.0.4 again? =/

    Thanks.

EDIT: NVM!!! Sorry guys, but I just forgot of the “backup” pre-installed plugin in WP, desactivated and activated. Sorry, but anyway, there is some possibilitie to my system claim 2.0.4 and It’s not a complete 2.0.4 upgrade?

  • If we’re referring the same thing, that backup page comes from default plugin. If you don’t see the page, it’s probably not active.

Anyway, it never hurts to re-upgrade.

Thanks alphaoide. That’s why (about the backup page) I was scared about the installation, but once again sorry I just didn’t use that backup page so I didn’t relalize that it’s just the desactivated plugin.

If you followed instructions: No. The only thing that could be incomplete is if a file did not make it intact when uploading.
