Did you ever get this resolved?

The plugin is for creating hidden content, which is revealed when you click on some text. It works by shortcode, so copy this

[dropdown_box expand_text=" xx text to be clicked to expand xx" show_more="" show_less="" start="hide"] xx your content here xx [/dropdown_box]

and replace with your content. Make sure you paste it in the HTML view, so it strips out the formatting you’ll see here.

Thank you for your response. I gave up on it.

But I don’t understand what you mean by hidden content. sorry,I don’t know all the ins an out of the techy stuff. Ilook for simple solutions

I was looking to create a “box of a different color” on my posts to make certain text stand out.

It sounds like this isn’t even in the ballpark. I do appreciate your input. Mary

Sounds like that was the smart thing to do, given what you need and the developer’s responsiveness. ??

What I mean by hidden content…?It’s probably easier to demonstrate. Click the green text on this page and it will reveal a bunch of (hidden) text below it. Click the green text again and that big block of text will disappear.

    Thank you GB,
    I get it now.

Also, I agree with you. Plugins are too temperamental.

If the author is not involved, it can really cause problems.

    Thanks Again,Mary

    Happy to help. ??

Sometimes it’s not the plugin’s fault, exactly. Even a well-coded plugin can become a problem if it’s not maintained, because so many other elements, including WordPress itself, are changing regularly.

As for your “box of a different color,” you might try Symple Shortcodes. (The boxes are about 1/3 of the way down the demo page.) Pretty easy to implement, too.
