    Hi all,

I’m using a multisite, so I’ve installed the plugin at network level and only activated on the one site that I want to test on.
In Dashboard > Plugin Filter > Global Plugins everything is set to ‘on’.

I now want to go into my homepage and disable LayerSlider WP to test it out. So I’ve then gone into Pages > Home and set LayerSlider WP to ‘off’ for both standard and mobile.
However, when I refresh the homepage, LayerSlider WP still loads.

I’ve tried things every which way and it seems that only global settings have any effect. Changes at page level seem to be overridden by the global settings.

Just add whatever URL you use as your homepage to a plugin filter. https://www.whateveryoursiteis.com/home/ or https://www.whateveryoursiteis.com/.

    Hi Jeff,

    Thanks for the reply.
The issues also appears on any page. So if I have https://www.whateveryoursiteis.com/news/ and edit that page then turn some of the plugins on and off, it has no effect. The global settings take precedence.

So do I need to use the filters for each page/permalink instead of the settings in edit page?

The other pages should work fine unless you have another plugin interfering with your permalinks. Is the address on the page edit screen where it says Permalink: the same as the url when you are accessing the page? Do you have a plugin turned on that changes the permalinks in any way? Try going to the plugin organizer settings page and clicking the recreate permalinks button after disabling your plugins on a page to see if that helps.

    Thanks Jeff.

I think I’ve worked out the problem. I’m using the ‘WordPress MU Domain Mapping’ plugin so I can create any new subdomain. So the WordPress network is called ‘websites’ and each site within it has its own name.

So even though my mapped URL is:
    https://site2.domain.com

    its real URL is https://site2.websites.domain.com.

So my permalinks in site2 are https://site2.websites.domain.com.

I’ll have to get support on this from the WordPress MU Domain Mapping author.

I can confirm the issue was with the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin.
After unchecking ‘Remote Login’, ‘Permanent redirect’ and ‘Redirect administration pages to site’s original domain’, the permalinks were fixed and too Plugin Organizer.

Unfortunately that means I lose out on single sign on across all my sites. But I dont think that is too much of a problem.

    P.S.

Thank you Jeff for a fantastic plugin! Its an essential IMO.

There is one other thing you could try. You can name the mu plugin anything you want. Rename it to z.php so that it loads after your other mu plugin. Then the permalinks might be correct. You’ll get error messages at the top of the plugin organizer pages in the admin but they are just a warning. You’ll also have to do that every time you upgrade or reactivate the plugin.

Thanks, Jeff. I’ll give that a try ??

It seems the Events Manager plugin needs to be enabled globally in order to function correctly. I had problems with the categories by enabling the plugin at page level.
I event tried enabling on the homepage (index.php) and adding filters for events/categories with ‘affect children’ checked.

But nevermind. Its only one plugin out of many ??

It may be using ajax calls. You would need to dig a little deeper into the plugin to find the urls for the ajax calls and create plugin filters for those with the plugin enabled. I’ve run into that a few times.
