After uploading, activating and configuring the IK Facebook Plugin, my existing facebook like box which I had configured previously is now broken. Any ideas on why this would happen?

I’ve got this im my widget sidebar:

    <div class="fb-like-box" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/roperwoodturning" data-width="100%" data-height="600px" data-colorscheme="light" data-show-faces="true" data-header="true" data-stream="true" data-show-border="true"></div>

and I implemented the facebook SDK script previously. Everything was working fine until I installed this plugin…

    Hey John!

Can you describe to me what you mean by broken?

I’m not including any Javascript with my plugin – and the Like Button that my plugin outputs is the standard Facebook Like Button. It is not obvious to me why it would break and this is the first report I’ve had, so far.

    Thanks!

So what I mean by broken is that it the original Facebook like box that I had in my sidebar widget area is just not showing. It’s completely blank… I deactivated the IK Facebook plugin just to see if it would make a difference and it’s still blank.

So I’m not quite sure what happened, I would appreciate your thoughts in regards to how to fix it though!

    Thank you very much sir,

    John

    Richard,

Still not sure what the problem was, but I restored my plugins folder from before I installed IK Facebook Plugin — still no like box…

and then I set my widget admin screen to compatibility mode (still no like box, but I was at least able to delete it from my sidebar, before it was just stuck and wouldn’t update even if I deleted the text area from the widget sidebar)

–then I, set my facebook app into sandbox mode, and it worked… my original facebook likebox is back.

So not sure what happened here, it could’ve been completely irrelevant to your plugin, coincidental maybe, but I thought I’d share my process in case anyone else ever runs into a similar problem…
