Username with $%^#@(* symbols
-
when I install WP with either Fantastico or Softaculous,
I always make a username with lots of different symbolssuch as something like this:
UN: R”3v^P+$yR.b?z
PW: +7OK7_y!]v?U>s?Jf@Z
(neither of these are actual UN/PW – just
examples of what I usually do)when I log in, it usually works just fine…
Another goofy thing…. if the symbols that
I use in setting up the UN/PW are not OK, why
not let me know BEFORE installation completes? However, when I change username in phpMyAdmin,
I cannot use the majority of these symbols – which,
I believe – go a long way to providing greater
security for my sites.I think that, about the only punctuation
that may be used in phpMyAdmin are !.-PLEASE, fix it so that complicated UN can be
set up in phpMyAdminIf there really is a major danger for WP sites, why
is it still so difficult to create a really difficult
first line of defensethanks
