I’m developing a redesign of my website from HTML to WordPress, and I first want to say that I love the flexibility of Shortcodes Ultimate, especially the ability to make buttons the same size to match column widths in a responsive design.

However, no icons appear on the buttons. See this page in progress at https://www.locatehome.com/wordpress/home-search-options/

Currently, Custom Formatting, Compatibility Mode and Skip Default Values are all enabled. I have tried unchecking both Custom Formatting and Compatibility Mode, but nothing changed.

When I create a button and choose an icon, the icon appears in the “live preview.” However, when the code is added to the page, there is no icon. I have even tried just adding one button to a page, with no other content, but no icon on the webpage… only in the “live preview.” For instance: [su_button wide=”yes” center=”yes” icon=”icon: envelope-o”]Button text[/su_button]

I have viewed the page on the following browsers on a Mac, all with the same results:
    1) Apple’s Safari browser Version 7.0 (9537.71)
    2) Google Chrome Version 31.0.1650.57
    3) Google Chrome Version 33.0.1712.2 canary (development version)
    4) Firefox Version 22.0
    5) Opera Version 12.16

Here is the code which I inserted on the page https://www.locatehome.com/wordpress/home-search-options/, which I already mentioned above:

My site give you extra options to search for homes and other real estate in the Fargo, ND – Moorhead, MN region using the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) of the Fargo-Moorhead Area Association of REALTORS?. Hi Dave,

thank you for the detailed description.

For some reason you site uses an outdated version of font-awesome. Font awesome is an icon font, which is used by my plugin too. You need to update your version of this library.

    https://clip2net.com/s/6dEE5p

Old version (3.x) of it’s css code uses prefixes icon-%icon_name%, but the latest version (4.x, bundled with my plugin) uses prefixes like fa-%icon_name%.

Hi, Vladimir. Thank you so much for your fast response!

That’s very strange, because I never had Font Awesome on the beta version of my new website until I uploaded the current version of your plugin. Could it be because when I first installed items from Font Awesome that I might not have had certain settings checked for compatibility in the plugin?

How do I install the current version of Font Awesome? Would it be easier to uninstall and reinstall your plugin?

If so, what is the best method to uninstall the plugin before installing a new copy?

    Спасибо за вашу помощь!

Vladimir, I currently do not have any Font Awesome plugin on my site.

The only WordPress plugin I can find for Font Awesome is Version 3.2.1 at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/font-awesome/

Version 4 at this link, https://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/, only seems to have complicated installation procedures.

If I uninstall Shortcodes Ultimate and reinstall your plugin, will it install Version 4 of Font Awesome? I cannot find an “uninstall button” or link. How would I uninstall Shortcodes Ultimate?

Since you say that Version 4 is bundled with your plugin, I don’t understand why it’s not already installed on my site.

By the way, my site uses the iFeature Pro 5 theme https://cyberchimps.com/store/ifeaturepro5/
