  • Did you modify the header.php file to add Google code?

Yup. tried my best. Thought i deleted the code but I guess not entirely and now I don’t know where i went wrong.

Download a new copy of your theme to your local computer and replace that file.

I reinstalled the theme manually by downlaoding it and uploading it again. Google text still there ?? It also shows up in other themes.

Try deactivating your plugins – it may be from one of them.

Just by looking at the source code I can tell you that it is a plugin ( SEO ) related issue.

    The dead giveaway is the line: <meta name="google-site-verification" content="<a href="https://plus.google.com/110815385562811878548" rel="publisher">Google+</a>" />
