Avoid smileys as featured image?

  • The plugin works like a charm, the only thing I have a problem with, is when the RSS feed contains a smiley – then the plugin uses that as a featured image, and having the posts displayed on my frontpage with the featured image stretched out to lets say 200×150, then a 36×36 smiley doesn’t appear beautiful ??

    Can i somehow choose to exclude gifs or images smaller than a certain size?

    That would be very difficult because if I coded it to avoid images of a certain size many other users would have problems since their legitimate images are that size. What is the url of the feed where this is a problem?

    Hi Allen, thank you for the response.

    I totally understand that it would cause problems for other users, so my intentions was to hack the plugin on my own site.

    However, trying to access the raw feed data, got me thinking that it might be formatted wrong, because i cant seem to find the content of the feed, so i cant even see where the picture is grabbed. The feed im having trouble with, is in danish, so i dont know if you can get anything out of it, but here it is

    that feed is dead (nothing shows) are you sure that is the correct url?

    Yeah it looks weird to me aswell, im positive thats the feed address.. the post is still online and the rss import has loaded the entire post into my site (using feed to post).

    thats the feed I use original, the reason i linked to the specific post-feed, was so that you could se my smiley-problem. And speaking of that, did you then have any idea to a solution or filter so that i can somehow choose to pass by images lower than 60x60px resolution?
    Maybe you could just point me to where in the code, the image selection is done?
