  • Are you using caching. Clear/disable the cache(s) and see what happens.

Interesting. When I cleared cache for front page and specific posts (from my blog, in Chrome), I could then see those in FIrefox, but not Safari. However, the minute I went to an older post, for which I had not cleared the cache, back to garble in Firefox.

I disactivated my WP Super Cache plugin. That did nothing. In fact, now even the front page and recent posts are garbled in Firefox (and still in Safari).

    Problem solved!

Deleted cache for site from within WP Super Cache plug in setting.

Thanks so much for the help!

How do I prevent a recurrence? Disactivate WP Super Cache?

There could be a conflict with some plugins or scripts running on your site. It can happen when you’re running a caching plugin.

If it starts to happen on a regular basis then maybe explore further, try and note what happened immediately prior to the occurrence, maybe through examining log files.
