    Hi,

I’m new to WordPress and have been trying to put a commerce site together using Woocommerce and Wootique as the theme.

I edited the index.php file inside the themes folder to remove the Featured Products slider and replace it with an image slider made using Meta Slider Lite. All was well.

I then decided that it would be best to have a static homepage so in the admin back-end I went to Settings>Reading and selected a static home page.

Now the home page shows no featured products or image slider.

What should I be editing to put the image slider right under the menubar only on the homepage?

    Any help is much appreciated,

    Grant.

  • I did it this way.

Created a separate php file and called it homepage that called the header and then I put together the content I wanted and then called the sidebar.php and then the footer.php.

Then I created a page called Home, selected the homepage.php as the template and then edited the Readings settings to select Home.

    Eh voila.

I am trying to replace the featured products section of my Wootique page. I am not very sophisticated with using this and I have tried to add it in through the editor, but this jacked my page. I would love to see the meta slider work in my page or at least get the slider to auto-cycle.

    Thanks for any assistance.
