    Hi Folks,

I deleted the three ngg tables from my database in order to import them from another blog. But that unfortunately didn’t work and my backups are not working either. And now the plugin stopped working…

I tried reinstalling it but that didn’t work. I thought i would just create new tables but obviously it doesn’t.
I don’t get any Error message it just doesn’t do anything, when I try creating a new Gallery or adding Images…

Is there a way to create those tables manually?
    Or what would you suggest?

    Happy Thanksgiving!
    Colo

@colophonius – It appears you are trying to do some sort of migration of a gallery from one site to another … although in theory the idea may work your best bet would have been to re-upload the galleries as needed into the new site. (I know this could be very time consuming if the galleries are very large but it is also the safest method.)

You could do a “fresh” install of NextGEN Gallery (get rid of those non-working tables … and delete the entire plugin; FTP may work best in this case).

A possible time saver would be to directly upload your galleries to your site and then “Import” them into NextGEN versus using the NextGEN upload interface … your mileage may vary but it is conceivable you could get some time savings.

If you have also migrated the site you will need to go back and re-insert the existing Galleries / Albums as well as their indices will most likely have changed.

    Hi,

Thanks I already solved the problem by uploading the not working tables again and then emptying them, which just rested them so it acted then like I fresh installed Plugin and then I did as you suggested and copied everything manually…

Took some time wasn’t to bad and I fixed a few things….

    Thanks anyways!
