• Hi Peter,

    Cool plugin. Looking forward to the next one I’ve seen you mention…

    My apologies if this was already addressed. I looked and didn’t see it anywhere. Is it possible to have the images (and possibly vine video) automatically display in the feed (mine is on the right sidebar) without having to click the links to view the Twitter Pics?

    Thanks!

    Cheers,
    Bryan

    Hi bryanrd6,

    Thanks for the support, working every second on getting the next plugin out as soon as possible!

    The plugin should currently support showing Images, although only in List display. There is an option right at the bottom of the Widget (Show media?).

    While implementing that feature, I could not get the Twitter API to return details for videos, although I did not try Vine. I have made a note to test this and will consider adding it in if I can get the data from the Twitter API.

    My aim is to reproduce the Twitter experience as closely as possible, so I would love to be able to show all media attached to Tweets, etc.

    Let me know how it goes with displaying the images in Tweets and thank you for the suggestion, I will check again to see if I can get Twitter to return anything other than images attached to Tweets.

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks for the prompt response. I do have (and have had it) in “list” view, “show media” is selected. It shows the short-link for the Twitter Pic and there is also a link in the post to show/hide photo (“show” is there, it seems, by default.) So, you can certainly click “show” and the image pops up right away. Was just wondering if there was a way to display the image straight-away, by default.

    Thanks and good luck with the new one – will be on-board when it’s ready!

    Cheers,
    Bryan

    Hi Bryan,

    I misunderstood you earlier sorry. Currently you cannot have images displayed by default, however this is an interesting option. I will consider adding this in and will re-investigate the possibility to embed videos too.

    Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, it is much appreciated.

    Hi Peter,

    No problem. Just consider naming the feature after me… Just kidding. I do think it would be attractive for those who do a lot of image stuff and, perhaps, video. Good luck with the new one!

    I’m using your plugin to show my tweets on a page much like blog entries by using shortcode.

    Having an option to display the pic automatically without having to toggle it on/off would be great!

    @neilfoster

    just add this to your theme css file:

    .kebo-tweets .ktweet .kfooter a.ktogglemedia.kclosed .kshow { display:none !important; }

    .kebo-tweets .ktweet .kmedia.kclosed { height: auto !important; }

    this way images will always be visible.
