• Two of my sites block Firefox from closing. You get the choice to Leave Page or Stay on Page. You also see

Session expired. Please log in again. You will not move away from this page.

I then hit Leave Page on each and it’s ok. Is it a plugin? Only two sites do this constantly.

In admin, go to Settings -> General

Do you have different subdomains set in “WordPress Address” and “Site Address”? or are they both the same?

    Same address, no sub-domains.

Ok, what you have those two set to?

Did this problem start after moving your WordPress installation into a folder?

set to the site URL only. Dot com then nothing.

Neither site has moved. Always been in the root directory.

I keep thinking it was a setting but the settings are the same on all but one site, yet these two won’t close down without clicking. It may not seem like a big deal but when rushing to shut the laptop I have to stop, click on each site to close it out, and then wonder WHY it happens.

Ok, what is the website’s URL?

Is it the same if you use a different web browser? or a browser on a computer you have not used to access the site before?

I check from my Win laptop and my iPad. I’m not in a situation where I can use another computer.

I just find it odd only two sites do this.

Please post the url of one of the sites that does this.

Two sites. But I don’t post my URLs publicly. Nope, four sites. I think I night have isolated the plugin but it is on all sites, even these four. So in theory it can’t be this plugin.

    This is so frustrating.

Edit: that plugin’s support folks suggest I change a setting. I will, then tomorrow will see and then post.

I’m sorry, but I am not able to help any further without being able to see the site I am trying to troubleshoot. If you change your mind and post the link, I will be able to continue with the investigation.

I can give them privately only. Thanks anyway.
