  • Go to Presentation >> Theme Editor >> Page Template. Search for “Posted by” and remove the whole line. It’ll include a few things like <?php the_date(); ?> and such. Just get rid of the whole line.

    and be sure to come back and ask the obligatory “if this file were writable” question after you’ve tried that ??

    Eh?

    your directions were correct, however the usual response to attempts at editing files from the backend is a support question — in other words, while you gave good advice it was semi-incomplete since the OP may or may not have his theme files chmod’d to 777 .. and will get the dreaded “if this file were writable” error.

    Ah. I just assume folks have done that. Good point to keep in mind.

    Leia’ theme files

    * Stylesheet
    * Footer
    * Header
    * Comments
    * Main Index Template
    * Sidebar

    Well, if you want your pages to look exactly like your main page, you can just make a copy of index.php and call it page.php in your theme folder. When you go back to the Theme Editor, you should see Page Template there. This should help:
