• Hi,
Both flash players load in the post, but when I hit play it reads “buffering” for a split second and then says “error loading file”. Nada. I’ve checked my paths, set everything to 777 (file, swf flash player, folders, etc), used a few different mp3s… I’ve run out of ideas. I don’t know what else to check. Any ideas?

  • Your Space Debris mp3 worked for me.
Perhaps you’re caching in your browser?
Try a hard refresh on your browser. Ctrl +F5
Also, if you’re running an earlier version of WP, you may need to empty your cache folder.

I’m sorry, but are you referring to the flash player in post “Space Debris Test 4” or just the download link in post “Space Debris”. I’m trying to get the flash player to work, downloading the file seems to work fine.

    Please clarify. Thanks.

Sorry, I misunderstood. No the flash isn’t working. How are you inserting the code? With the wysiwyg editor on or off? Have you edited the post to make sure the code is intact?

wysiwyg is off. All that’s in the post is:

    [audio:Space_Debris.mp3]

that’s it. With the audio player plugin you set the audio folder path under options, but even so, I’ve tried to edit the post to see if putting in the full path would work but it didn’t work either.

Maybe try the plugin author’s website? Looking at the view source everything looks normal.

I’m still not having any luck. Somebody? If you look at my main page I have a new post trying to use the Asysound flash player too. That’s not working either. Both are giving me a error loading message. What does it mean if both plugins aren’t working for me?

    They all work for me.

I tracked it down to the cpanel hotlink protection – which for some reason was disabling the flash mp3 players even though it’s not hotlinked (???). I thought it was configured correctly. I have my url set as an exception, so why would it do this? Obviously I don’t want to have to disable my hotlink protection…
