    Hi Dave,

Are you on the latest version of the plugin? If so, could you check the “test config” button in the plugin settings page. It should return an error if anything goes wrong.

Let me know what it says so we can get it to work again.

    Thanks!

I am getting this meaningful message :S

    “An unknown error has occurred.”

But I’m a new user, I never had the plugin working, just started playing with it …
And chances are I don’t have the facebook app setup correctly?

    Thank you so much! :o)

    Hi Steph,

That’s not really meaningful indeed. Hm.

Did you follow the installation instructions? All of the default settings (besides the ones explicitly listed in the instructions) should work.

Also, under the Advanced Settings of your Facebook App. App Type should be web.

    Hi Danny,

Thanks for getting back to me.

The version is 1.8.5 (it didnt work before the update to the latest version, updated and still didnt work).

I’ve ran the test and get the message “Your configuration seems to be okay and working! Nice work.”

    Hi Dave,

Hm, the plugin is performing an actual query for the latest post so that would indicate that your configuration is perfectly fine.

What Facebook page are you fetching posts from? Are you sure the privacy setting of the posts are still public?

All settings I can see are public.

    Hi Dave,

Just checked and I am getting the same error when using your page. Not sure what could be happening here but the fact that I could replicate it makes it a little easier.

It’s running a little late here but I will look into it as soon as I can, most likely tomorrow already.

    I’ll let you know!

    Thanks, appreciate it!

I’m receiving the same thing on one of my client’s websites. Only, I just installed it today. Everything looks like it is set up correctly on Facebook, and the privacy settings are all set to public. The site that is having difficulty is https://www.cantonbounties.com/kja. The link to my client’s Facebook site works, but there aren’t any posts despite the following message that’s received when I test the configuration, “Your configuration seems to be okay and working! Nice work.”

Any update on this at all? My client’s getting edgy!

Not yet Dave, I haven’t found the free time yet to look into this. It’s on the list!

Ok, no worries, we’ve all got lists!

Seems to have corrected itself somehow!

It has not for my client however.
