Smart Donations being used as a Hack on my site?

    I believe my site has been hacked. This plugin, Smart Donations, was installed without me taking any action to install it. I have deactivated it or deleted it numerous times and it continues to show back up on my site. It wouldn’t be that big of a deal except that it doesn’t play nicely with the java slideshow on my Front page, nor does the donation image/link show up in the widget. I am at https://djrichiep.com if you want to see the issues the plugin is causing. Has anyone ever experienced an issue with their site being tampered with and this plugin being used as the “hack”?

    Hello! i don’t know what is happening to be honest, i haven’t hear anything like this before. If the plugin was installed without you taking any action it can mean that someone has access to your wordpress site or that someone has access to your server.

    If this plugin was not even in your site and then it suddenly is that means that someone is installing it using other means, not really this plugin (because, again, the plugin is not even in your site at that time).

    I just check the link that you sent me and this plugin is not loaded there (if the plugin was loaded, you would see the smart donation files being requested) so if there is a problem in that screen i would think another plugin or theme is causing it.

    Sorry for not being able to tell you what is happening but i hope that this at least helps a little.
