• Revision mangement is very, very screwed up.

If I go to insert a photo but then do not insert it, I am taken back to an earlier revision and presents me with the message that the version in my browser is different. There needs to be a way to get out of the “insert media” function without creating thsi problem.

If I then restore an earlier revision, WordPress strips all of the paragraph breaks out of my post. But sometimes the “restore this version” button doesn’t work, for a reason I can’t determine.

If I try to copy and paste from the side-by-side revision page, WordPress selects line by line across both revisions shown.

OK, now I understand that the reason the button doesn’t work is that WordPress has the current revision stored online, but this is not the same one I am seeing on the screen when looking at the post. What needs to happen is for WordPress to refresh the version on the screen when I return to editing, instead of using the version in the browser.

I have found that I can get back to the most recent version by closing the post — going back to the Dashboard of list of posts — then reopening the post for editing. But I shouldn’t have to do that. Seeing the older version is very confusing and makes it look as though I’ve lost my work and can’t recover it.

The selection across two revisions at once really needs to change.

What version of WordPress are you using?
Can you replicate the problem using WordPress 3.7.1, the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?
