    Hi

I’m using the new twenty fourteen theme. I’ve tagged a few posts as “featured” and yet none show up in the featured section.

For in case it makes a difference I’ve tried with both the static home page and the “show posts” front matter.

The blog I need help with is

I can confirm that my blog doesn’t show any featured content while Jetpack is enabled. Disabling Jetpack results in featured content showing again. craftycode

I get the same thing. With JetPack disabled it suddenly starts working.

I’ve had limited success by disabling and re-enabling Jetpack. Mine is currently working by doing this, but it isn’t a stable solution. I’ve found that certain changes to the settings forfeits the workaround.

Yes, this isn’t a stable solution. Worked for me for sometime. Now I’m unable to bring back the slider. But, mysteriously it is displaying fine on the phone.

Okay now again it has started working with a different tag. Instead of “featured” i’m using “latestposts” now. I hope this helps the coders find a solution. ??

I had the same problem. It’ll be fixed in a newer release of Jetpack. More information and a fix are available in this thread.

I had this problem as well, for me, Jetpack had nothing to do with it. What worked was changing the tag name. So I changed out the tag name in the Featured Content section of Customiz from “featured” to “sticky,” then updated the post with that tag, though I suspect any variance of a tag name would work.

    That fixed it.

I had a related issue where all my posts were showing up in the “Featured Content” section of the 2014 theme whether I had them tagged as featured or not. After some trial and error that didn’t work, I googled and came across this thread. Changing the tag name solved that problem as well: it seems that if you use “featured” for the Featured Content tag name, which seems like the sensible choice, WordPress makes all of your posts featured.

Am Having the same prob here , but I’ve tried everything and nothing worked , am new at all of this and am using Bluehost.com so that what happened ..
I’ve tried to change tag name , disabling jetpack and enable it , re logged , latterly tried everything in forums and google , and now when i tag post to make it appear in a grid , the post disappears from page , and nothing shows in a grid or slider , it appears again when i remove the tag .
am thinking about giving up n choose diff. theme but i rly like this one so if any1 can help it would be amazing .

I think I’m having the same issue. My homepage is set to show the latest posts but I want to use a sticky post to welcome people to the website. When I do that, the post content disappears, just the title remains. And using excerpts doesn’t seem to make any difference. I still get the full post on the homepage.

    Frustrating!
