• Hello guys.
I have some problem and can’t find any solution.
Today I noticed that my widgets disappered from the right sidebar menu. I haven’t done any changes before that, except publishing a new article two days ago (but till this morning everything was fine).
I upgraded my WordPress to the newest version but still I have this issue. Also, when I go to the widget menu I can’t drag widget to the right sidebar.
    My blog is dkotomanova.com

    What can I do?

    Thanks!

  • Does this occur with all plugins deactivated and a default unedited theme activated? Also make sure to clear browser cache after site updates (and of course any server cache in use.)

Also, I have another problem. When I click on some of my old posts there is a 404 error page.

No, I haven’t tried to deactivate all plugins. But I cleared my browser cache.

No, I haven’t tried to deactivate all plugins.

    Why not? That’s standard troubleshooting.

I think I have problems with my theme (it is called Adelle). When I change the theme some of the problems are fixed.

Which version of Adelle? There are three –

Do you have a different version of the theme from someplace else, by chance?

    here: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/adelle/

    Or here: https://www.bluchic.com/shop/adelle-theme

It the version designed by BluChic.
It still the same even after deactivating all plugins. ??

    Please clarify:

Does this occur with all plugins deactivated and a default unedited theme activated? (Still seeing adelle theme)

Note, when you switch themes, the widget area may not be the same on each theme so review the full widgets page and add back to a theme location.

I deactivated all plugins but it’s still the same. I want to re-install it but I don’t know how to delete my current theme – there is not a option like this.
I am trying to solve this problem for hours…I can’t even figure it out why it happened like this..

Just go to the themes page and find twentythirteen theme and click Activate. You can’t delete an active theme.

Thanks. I have already done this but still no change.

So,not only my right sidebar is gone, but when I click on some of my previous post there is an error message: “Page not found”. When I go in the widget menu, there is no option to drag widget to the side bar. Instead there is an “add” button that is not working too. ??

I’d still suggest deactivating ALL plugins and switching to a default theme and leaving it that way until you get this sorted out… That’s standard troubleshooting.

WPyogi, I have already done this. The question is how to sort out this, when I can’t find answers to my problem.

Your site is NOT using the default 2014 theme and is currently running multiple plugins.

You can try reinstalling WP manually, though I’d suggest you do that with all plugins deactivated and a default theme active as well.

To reinstall, download a new copy of WP to your local computer. Then using FTP or Cpanel, replace all files and folders EXCEPT wp-content, wp-config and .htaccess from the new download. Make sure that you delete the old versions first before uploading the new ones.

Then test using the default theme and no plugins to see if things are working again. If so, switch to your theme and test again. If your theme is messed up, reinstall it.

This sounds too complecated to me :((( I will see what I can do. Thanks.
