When I first installed Broken Link Checker a couple of years ago it was doing a great job finding broken YouTube videos that were embedded into my articles.

To be clear; previously BLC was able to tell me when a video was taken down, or disabled for whatever reason.

I do not remember at what version, but BLC stopped reproting YouTube videos that were taken down onr disabled. In fact, it stopped reporting on YouTube videos alltogether.

Is there a reason for this? Can this feature be reactivated? All other features are working great, so I don’t know why this is no longer available.

    Please let me know. Thanks!

  • Not sure why BLC has stopped working, but it appears to have done the same with me. I suggest you download a plug-in called “YouTube Not Found” by Mindstein – I have and it works a treat. Found 35 broken YouTubes on my website. Does exactly what you want, I’m just surprised so few people have downloaded this plug-in, it’s very valuable to those of us who embed Youtubes.
