• Hello. I’ve checked the forums and haven’t really found anything that mirrors the issues we are currently having with the Jetpack Blog Subscriptions widget. Our client has the following concerns:

-It is hit or miss when someone signs up/subscribes to the blog when it comes to receiving a confirmation email that they have signed up. Some receive a confirmation email. Some do not.

-Some who have subscribed are not receiving any updates via email whatsoever.

-It doesn’t work for me personally on any browser I use. It says an email was sent but I never receive anything.

-I was wondering if I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it if that would help, but out of fear of losing our 40+ current subscribers I have not done that yet.

The site can be found at https://www.blueinklaw.com

Thanks in advance for any help! It’s much appreciated!

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

First of all, rest assured; disconnecting Jetpack from WordPress.com or deactivating the plugin won’t cause any issues with your data; as soon as you reconnect to WordPress.com everything will be back.

I was able to subscribe to your site without any issues. You can now see my email address in your list of subscribers. It’s worth noting that confirmation emails are only sent once, so if you attempted to subscribe in the past but never confirmed your subscription, you’ll need to find the confirmation email back or confirm the subscription manually here:
    https://subscribe.wordpress.com/

Your site doesn’t seem to be properly connected to WordPress.com at the moment, though; that would explain why some of your posts are not sent to your subscribers.
Could you go to the Jetpack menu, and disconnect then reconnect to WordPress.com?

    Thanks!

Hey, Jeremy. First off, thanks for the response. You’ve already answered a few questions.

I’ve disconnected and reconnected to WordPress.com. So, we will see what happens.

Just to confirm, I should be able to take that JetPack Subscription widget off of the sidebar and then replace it back on the sidebar without losing any of the current subscriber data?

    Thanks!

Correct. Your subscriber data is stored on WordPress.com servers, so it would be hard to lose it. You can rest assured ??
