  • Hi Nav,

    Events that need approval should appear under Pending on the Events > Events page in WP Admin

    Thanks,

    When I visit the link that shows me the event form in Chrome (in which I am logged in as administrator) it shows the form to be filled in. When I open the link in Firefox, where I am NOT logged in as administrator, it gives me the following error messages:

    ================================
    Unauthorized Access

    You do not have the rights to manage this Event.
    ================================

    I am not able to understand from the tutorial/documentation how people can submit events and I only have to approve it. Which part should I re-read? What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,

    Naveen

    Did you navigate to the area of the dashboard that Caimin mentioned?

    Thanks

    there is no such separate part as pending.

    If you’re not seeing a Pending link across the top of that page in WP admin, then it means there are no submitted events awaiting approval.

    Bear in mind that if you submit an event while logged in as an admin it doesn’t need approval and will be published immediately without going to Pending.

    If you’re still having trouble with setting this up, the first step is to make sure the submission form is visible to non-logged users. Can you post a link so we can check?

    Hi,

    from this page

    https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/user-event-guest-submissions/

    I am stuck here:

    “From the Guest Default User dropdown select the dummy account you created.”

    The problem is that I have not created a dummy account yet. How to do that?

    thanks,

    Naveen

    I’m getting an unauthorized access message when I go to your form, which probably means you need to set Allow anonymous event submissions? to Yes under Events > Settings > General > Event Submission Form .

    To create a dummy account go to Users > Add New and fill in the form, keeping the Role set to Subscriber.

    thanks

    I am allowing anonymous user submissions and the page does show up for guest users. When they submit an event they receive the “Your event will be posted pending review” message or whatever it says. However, the event is posted automatically every time. My admin email receives a message saying that a new event was added.

    Under Events > Settings > User Capabilities, the only users who have ANY access are administrator and editor.

    Any idea why these postings aren’t going into a pending status? Thanks!
