Hello, I hope this is the right area to post this, but I have noticed a bug in 3.8 update that came out recently in which the publish date icon repeats in the editor. When me or my clients go on to their wp admin section and go to add or edit a post/page, the publish date icon on the right side repeats. I am not sure if this is a bug with 3.8, or an issue from a plugin. The common plugins shared on the different sites are Akismet, Total Security, WordPress SEO, & Login Security Solution (all plugins are up to date). While hosted with the same host, they are all on separate accounts. Any help with this will be great! I have a screenshot here.

  • You should disable all of your plugins one by one on the site you’re seeing this issue on and figure out if it’s a plugin causing the issue. You said you’re not sure but going through this step would provide more clarity in terms of it being a plugin conflict or WordPress 3.8.

Personally, I’m using WordPress 3.8 with at least 30 different plugins and I haven’t seen the same behavior so I doubt it’s an issue with WordPress 3.8 specifically.

Okay, did as you suggested and found that it was bbPress (forgot to add that above) doing the repeating. I will shoot them a post in their forums about the issue. Thanks for suggesting turning off plugins, sleep-deprived is not the best time to be coding.

Wow, didn’t think it would have been bbPress. Thanks for marking your topic as resolved!

I see the same problem with 3.8 and can verify that deactivating bbPress eliminates the problem.
