Plugin wont install on a clean installation of WordPress v3.8

  • When using the WordPress plugin installer, the plugin will not install through the www.ads-software.com/plugins/gigpress page, or by uploading the .zip file through the installer. The installer reports:

    No valid plugin found.

    I am running a fresh installation of WP 3.8 with no other plugins running and the default theme: twenty fourteen
