  • Looks like you’ve disabled the plugin –?we can’t diagnose the problem without the plugin enabled, but you might want to make sure you’re running the latest version of jQuery, as that sometimes causes problems.

I was doing some tests so I disabled for a while the plugin…it’s now active again, can you give a look, please? Thank you!

It looks like your theme or one of your other plugins (possibly Nivo Slider) is not using the correct wp_enqueue_script function to load its scripts and is loading an old version of jQuery (version 1.5.1, which is almost three years old). That version is being loaded by the browser and causing the problem you’re seeing.

You’ll need to find where that old version of jQuery is being loaded and remove it, possibly by disabling/updating your other plugins.

Is there any way we can rollback to a previous version? One of my sites (psandc.co.uk) has stopped being navigable/searchable since updating.)
I was going to go Pro for another client but am concerned about this issue at the moment…

Turned out that the problem was old jQuery being loaded by TheTheImageSlider…

Thank you very much for your quick and decisive reply.
Actually the error was caused by Nivo Slider plugin that I was using previously on my website and loaded an older version of jQuery.
Thank you again and congratulations for your plugin!

    I have the same problem.
The previous version worked perfectly well but since the last update my MENU and Search do not work.

I did go through the steps of disabling my plugins but it does not seem to make a difference.

Would you be able to check this out for me please.

@jerry looks like your site is not using WPtouch.

I disabled it as I received couple of SMS’s from users to say it wasn’t working and had to substitute.
    I shall activate it again.

Can you please check it our for me please.

Similar problem with your site, Jerry: WP Google Maps is loading jQuery 1.8.3 (https://melbournepractica.org/wp-content/plugins/wp-google-maps/js/jquery.min.js) but All-in-one Event Calendar seems to be trumping it with what looks like a copy of 1.7.2 (https://melbournepractica.org/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/app/view/admin/js/jquery_lib.js).

Both are very out-of-date –?with some luck the developers of both plugins will have updates available; otherwise you may wish to consider removing the duplicate copy of jQuery.

    Hi
Thanks. As there are no updates for either of the plugins at present how do I remove the duplicate jQuery please??
