Custom homepage breaks site search

I have a custom homepage on my site,
https://www.celebitchy.com

There are conditional statements to see if it’s the homepage or an archive.

Ever since I added the custom homepage, a search from any page will just reload the homepage.

I see that there’s another recent topic about this at https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/48891

I tried implementing the solution shown there and adding get_settings to the search template, but it doesn’t fix the problem.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
