Captions & sharing links

  • Hi there,
    Ok sorry but same question once more but I dont know how to get captions to show.

    I would like them to show under the picture. would it be possible to walk me through how to get this done. I need to be shown step by step i think…

    Also when i use the plug in my sharing buttons dont show on the post, I am using what is in jet pack. They show on a post or page if the slide show is not used; so i wonder how do i override this and get the buttons to show, you will see them on my contact page, and just wondering while here if like buttons can be put on the images themselves.

    Hi Thomas, this is something that I’m working on making easier for the end user, but right now it still takes some customization to accomplish.

    To make this a bit easier, I put together a new slideshow captions skin which contains the custom slideshow template for the captions as well as the CSS changes. Try adding that skin to your theme, that should get you some basic captions, and then I can show you from there how to customize the styling of the captions to get the look you’re going for.

    Meteor Slides should work fine with Jetpack’s share buttons, though you wouldn’t be able to easily add them to the slideshow itself. Do they break just when you have the Meteor Slides plugin active, or only when you have a slideshow and the share buttons on the same page?
