Front page widgets not showing on static page

Hi,

if you want those widgets to show up in every page/post, please use the footer widget spaces.

But if you want to show them only in front page, you have to go to admin panel, edit that page and under “Page attributes” set Template to “Front page template”.

Then you can use specific widget places just for front page.

I have a different problem but hope you can help – my widgets show on all my blog posts and pages, but not on the home page. I am using a basic 2010 theme and have just completed the latest update, since which my widgets all disappeared. Any help much appreciated

HelenKWills, when you activate new theme, you have to re-add the widgets, because in many cases widget containers have different names.

Tiny Forge is based on 2012 theme, so it is a bit different, jump on 2010 board to get more info:
