• During the weekend, anytime i uploaded an image or try to crop any image thumbnail it would hang for a very long period of time. Eventually it would commit the changes but this hanging could last for about 2min for 200kb image. Before this happened its usually pretty fast and i could do it with multiple images (more around 1mb) at once.

Later on from checking my cPanel i found a huge jump on disk usage on my vps. Which I found multiple core dumps taking up alot of space (about 200mb in size) and they are created each time i tried to upload an image from the wp dashboard. The size can mass up very fast if i need to upload alot of pictures.

I have checked with my provider netvirtue, they told me it could be a conflicting plugin that could be outdated. I tried disabling all the plugins and use the default theme, still getting the same problem. I even done a clean install with a blank blog and still got the same problem. I used the softaculous and installatron wp installers and tried using the previous ver 3.7 still getting the same problem.

Is there a away to get around this uploading problem by either to resolve this issue or another roundabout way like a plugin i could use to upload images into wp and make thumbnails in the meantime?

    Stats from the cPanel
    PHP ver 5.3.27
    MySQL ver 5.1.72-cll
    Apache ver 2.2.25
    WP ver 3.8
