Did you try emptying that field?

Do you use alignment?

And please tell me what exact options you have set what URL or Shortcode you are using.

The value should be entered without a suffix, if you want 100% just not set it, leaf it empty as it says. But if your content area is not bigger then 1000px then 1000 should also have worked.

A link would also be nice.

I am having the same problem after updating to v3.1.0. The video max width seems to only be working if I do not use alignment. I have not set anything in the global setting for max width so it should be 100% unless otherwise set in the shortcode.

So, as the changelog said 3.1.0 intoduced this new “Aligned Maximal Width” setting so what I am seeing on your link seems to be perfectly right.

The 100% width is only when not using align and this is on purpose. Because it makes no sense to use align if you want the video to be 100% since then you not seen any difference no matter what aligment is set so I introduced this new setting so users can easy have 100% width video + aligned ones without any extra prameters.

So if you want 100% simple do not use align. Or you could explain to me why you think that makes sense because right now to me it does not. You also can of course set the new “Aligned Maximal Width” setting to a higher value if you want aligned videos that are bigger then the default 400px.

Thanks for the insights about alignment, Nico. I got my videos to be correctly full-width by removing the align=”center” from the shortcode, like so:

None-full-width shortcode (bad):
[youtube id=”4FTjUd4rMCA” mode=”normal” align=”center” autoplay=”no”]

Correctly-working full-width shortcode (good):
[youtube id=”4FTjUd4rMCA” mode=”normal” autoplay=”no”]

And I set the plugin’s settings, like so:

Default Mode: Normal
Video Maximal Width: blank
Aligned Maximal Width: 400 (this is the default setting)
Thumbnail Maximal Width: 300 (this is the default setting)
Fake Thumbnails: UNticked
Custom Thumbnail Image: blank
Autoplay all: UNticked
