Had to remove plugin folder to get my wp back – And now ?

    I tried better-wp-security few days ago and I did the adviced improvements. Everything was ok until one thing that locked me out of wp.
    Actually, the website did not stop loading. So I had to rename the ‘better-wp-security’ folder on ftp to be able to access the website again.

    I left it that way for few days.
    This morning I tried to rename it back and the same thing happened.
    So I’ve deleted the folder the replace by the fresh installation.
    But now I can not activate the plugin.

    I would like to be able to come back on the last modification I did but keep the benefit of the plugin.

    Any idea how I should proceed ?
